Hi guys ,
Long story short , I purchased a secondary contract purely for the handset. I know I know...why....who knows.
Anywho it's coming up to the end now , however I've never registered online and my primary contract had since been closed.
I also no longer have access to the SIM.... How do I go about cancelling said contract now!?
Is there a way I can do this all online or will I need to reorder a sim first and set it all up?
Cheers in advance.

You can cancel the contract a few ways but whichever way you choose it's important to leave the Direct Debit in place until the final bill has been paid and you receive a Sorry your leaving letter.
You can contact Customer services on 191 or 0333 3040191.
Or Live Chat.
You can also cancel via a Pac or Stac or ask the contract to be moved to a Vodafone Payg account.
All the information you need is in Cancel-your-account.
“ When you get your PAC code you must give it to your new provider to make the switch happen.
Get your PAC code from us
Unfortunately if you have more than one number on your account, texting isn't possible - please use one of the other options instead.
If you would like to text us:
Give the code to your new provider
When you give the code to your new provider, they'll contact us and start moving your number over.
Your code lasts for 30 days. If you don't use it in that time you'll stay with us and the switch won't happen. You can always ask us for a new code if it expires. ”

If you cancelled your primary contract, the secondary number would automatically be your primary number.
The best way to get this solved would be by speaking to Vodafone, they would have been billing you for the number and will easily be able to locate the account from your name, date of birth and postcode. They may need to send a SIM for you to activate for the number where you will be able to cancel by submitting STAC code to an alternative network, but hopefully this won't be necessary.
You can use live chat they will be able to help but even easier would be to speak directly to the Social Team through Twitter or Facebook with a link to this thread here: Speak to the Social Team

You won't be the first or last person to open up another line in order to aquire a new phone @quotethepigeon
These devices can be super expensive especially flagship models.
Not all have the available disposable income to outlay for a new phone so it's understandable that taking out another contract is easier on one's finances but can be a little more expensive than paying out for the phone as sim free. Or some buy a used / unwanted upgrade.
Take care.
