Cleared my Vodafone bill over a year ago and still showing on my credit file

Vodafone why is there an active account shown on my credit profile when I left nearly 2 years ago. I want this closed. Service is terrible, I’ve tried contacting customer service but no one seems to know what they’re doing. I only had a pay monthly sim which I finished the term and left. CLOSE MY ACCOUNT

Closed account have to remain on your credit file for up to 7 years after closure.  See here: Experian - When are closed accounts deleted?

No it is saying I have an active account with Vodafone which I don’t?

Message them via social media and ask them to fix it. It happened to a friend of mine, they put right.

They'll ensure it shows closed and will update the credit file so it reflects the correct date when the account closed.

It'll not be impacting in the meantime as it'll just show an account that'll be marked green / satisfied each month

I understand if it was closed account which was settled and would stay on my credit profile for 7 years but my credit report states that is an active account.
