I have received 2 debt collection letters from Vodafone six months after cancelling Vodafone contracts. These contracts were cancelled 7 days after signing up. Surely this is within the cooling off period.? When cancelling the contracts Vodafone informed me no money was outstanding. Both Letters are asking me to contact CCSCOLLECT & ZINCGROUP are saying I owe the same amount but are quoting different Vodafone reference numbers. I have never received anything from Vodafone until now.
can anyone advise please?

How did you cancel the contracts @Arnierubble ?
Did you cancel your Direct Debit ?
I ask because if you owed anything while the contract was live then Vodafone wouldn't have been able to collect payment.

First let the debt collection agencies know you are refuting the debt and they'll pass this back to Vodafone UK and stop collection action.
When this has been sorted also check your Credit File via Experian or one of the other Credit Houses to ensure no markers or defaults have been applied.

Yes @Arnierubble
Although you cancelled the contract within the cancellation period, the contracts start on the day your receive the devices and SIM's and there would have been 7 days line rental charges.
Follow the advise from @Anonymous and speak to the Social Team, they will be able to put you in contact with the correct team to get this solved for you.
