Hi Vodafone,
I had a contract last year that was meant to end November, I got an email saying "sorry you're leaving us" which was followed 23 days later by an email saying "We're delighted you're staying with us" i had, at no point, asked to join back up to Vodafone and had already cancelled by direct debit. I then received a call from IMFS debt collectors in August saying I owed money and now have a default on my account.
I immediately paid Vodafone the apparent "£28" owed and even confirmed with your team:
" I've taken a look on your account and can see your account is in-active and all bills has been paid. It was settled in August already. Do you still see any default mark on your credit file?".
Please is there anyway you can remove this default from my account? I am just now applying for a mortgage and this has ruined my credit and i can't buy my first home!
Many thanks,
Chris Dickens

Unfortunately the team can't access your account via your post on this forum.
They can however help by involving their Credit File Specialist Team's if you contact the Vodafone Social Media Team's via Twitter DM or Facebook Messenger.
Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries.
A default which lasts 6 years would only be removed if it wasn't warranted.
I wish you all the best with this.

Thanks for your response.
I have messaged the team on facebook and they have forwarded my query to the credit team who will get back to me in the next 2-5 working days.
I will keep the forum updated on the progress!
