So today I switched out my phone for a replacement handset, I deleted the eSIM and had planned to go to the Vodafone store and get a replacement physical SIM card but when I was there they said there was an error with my account (as usual!)
I looked at my emails as I had experienced this issue before and eventually had it escalated to the directors office to deal with and to my surprise a new eSIM has already been generated and email to me a few minutes after I had deleted the old one but well before I even got to the Vodafone shop.
Is that normal? Any one know?

It's possible that something kicked in when you deleted the eSim profile @garetc
Now whether that's normal is entirely a different question as one would expect a deleted eSim profile to remain deleted.
Possibly an anonamaly !

It would be a great advancement if they had started something automatic like this. It definitely took place after I had removed the eSIM but before I’d been to the Vodafone shop.
If it is a new feature they should warn customers so that they can at least check their registered email address is correct.
