Hoping someone can help.
My elderly father who has stage 4 kidney failure and desperately needs a working phone has had an 16 mth long nightmare with Vodafone after 15+ years of being with them and Vodafone just can't fix it.
Upon renewing his contract and getting a new phone it had problems connecting to data with constant periods of it patchily working then not working, after a year of resets from his and vodafones end, numerous 24hr monitoring from their end where they see this happening and sending the phone in to be repaired numerous times only to send it back saying it's fine and endless replacement sims the battle with this all is quite literally now killing him!
He has endlessly dealth with vodafone customer support over the phone and actually instore where they have witnessed this problem happening so many times.
My mum has exactly the same phone on his account and the same contract over the last 16mths and it's always worked fine. When we put his sim in her phone the same prob happens. Vodafone refuse to acknowledge the probs at their end and there is something wrong with his number or account even though he's had numerous replacement sims, 2 new phones and every setting tweaked by vodafone there is, still this problem persists.
2 weeks ago he switched his phone off for a funeral and boom nothing worked we put the sim in my mums completely working phone and still it wouldn't work we put her sim in his phone and it works.
Vodafone sent out a new sim and still no data and patchy ability to send texts and receive calls then yesterday vodafone changed a bunch of his settings and did resets again and absolutely nothings working now at all, it appears to not even recognise his passwords anymore so vodafone won't speak to him or my sister who's named on his account and this is just beyond ridiculous.
There has to be something wrong with his account/number as it doesn't matter how many new phones you try or new sims it doesn't solve the problem.
Please Vodafone Mods you've always been great with your dealings with me in the past please help my elderly father.... please I'm begging you he's in hospital on Tues and has no working account.
I personally think he needs to just leave Vodafone and have a whole new number and entirely new account but vodafone even though they're not actually providing him with a working contract that he's paying for keep threatening him they'll take him to court if he cancels his contract. We're at our wits end.

This is quite concerning @fairywishes1 . It sounds like there is a restriction on your Dad's account.

There is always the alternative of going the complaints process on this link Complaints
The biggest problem you are going to have is data protection with Vodafone not talking to anyone but the account holder. There may be a way round with your Dad speaking to Vodafone and giving you and your Sister full authority over the account.
