My phone wont work in India

Hi, I am in Goa. My UK number is not working, even when I switch to roaming. I cannot make any calls, even to 192. I need to be able to receive text messages for all my online codes. I am already getting bank charges as I cant verify any payments. Only whatsapp is working. I have a monthly package from the UK. what can I do? thanks

According to this link @suefirehorse Charge Checker - Roaming Vodafone making a daily charge of £6.00 for using your phone in India.  There is also a credit limit on the account and it may be worth making sure this is adequate for your time away from the UK.

As well as making sure there are no bars on the account to prevent roaming, if you use Spend Manager on this link Spend Manager make sure this is not set to zero.    Also try doing a manual roam from your connection settings and select Vodafone India.

You can contact Vodafone from abroad on 0044 7836 191 191, from any other phone, the call is free from a Vodafone mobile although it won't help in your case.
