Sim only

Hey! Have been with Vodafone for 20 years on a contract, now want to switch to Sim Only. They’ve changed me over to a £21 a month, 24 month sim only contract. I’ve seen them offering the same sim only for new customers for £8p/m for a 12 month contract - I called and asked for a similar deal but they said it’s for new customers only. I have 3 days to cancel my new sim only contract with them. What do you recommend I do? Basically need 40gb data, unlimited mins and texts. Is there a better provider out there with good signal across U.K. but mainly in London? I always just sign up to what they say as I’m a pushover but I feel this time, if they don’t want to reward a loyal customer, it’s time to move on. Any suggestions? TIA :Smiling:

Hi, if you’ve been with Vodafone for 20 years, I guess you are happy with the network coverage where you go, reliability, customer service, etc, and you would be happy to continue with Vodafone if you can get a good deal…

The other big networks are already advertising their ‘Black Friday’ offers, and there are some good deals around. Vodafone haven’t launched their ‘Black Friday’ promotions yet, but a number of the current offers end on 28 November (Thursday), so I’m sure there will be new deals from Friday.

I’d suggest you contact Vodafone and ask if you see a better deal advertised by Vodafone on Friday, can you upgrade to it, rather than the 50GB / £21 plan you have been offered, as you have seen better 'Black Friday' deals already being advertised.

If you don't want EU roaming or anything extra, I would cancel and go with the a third party vodafone upgrade.

One third party is doing 120GB for £5 after cashback on a 12 month contract, for example. A bit of a faff uploading bills, but put reminders in your calendar and it's worth it for the saving.
