Can anyone tell me if they have sued Vodafone?
i would love to sue Vodafone I’m been with them for over 10 years have 2 mobile phones have 1 iPad and received the worst service by them !!! In jan this year 2022 I kept receiving calls from a debt company which turns out it was because of Vodafone saying I owed £142 when checking with Vodafone they had no idea why and said they would sort it out nope they didn’t every day at least 2/4 time they called and sent me emails demanding I pay or I’ll be cut off again I got in touch with Vodafone who explained they can see I’ve always paid my bills and that someone has mistakenly taken my payment and debt it from my Vodafone account so it looked like I owed money hence why it went to debt company! She apologise assured me it was all sorted ! Then again that day the debt company called !! I went to my December bill due in January and the bill was £0 I asked why and they explained because of what happend that I was credit £136.50 and payed dec bill ! Again the debt company kept calling so I got in touch with them again who apologise and assured me I owe nothing and was also credited £140.80 which would pay January bill due in February! I have all the screen shots ! Then I got a email saying I need to pay January bill by 7th feb when I asked Vodafone why they said they had no record of the extra credit so that disappeared just like my missing payments!!!!! They shouldn’t promise me this credit when it was there mistake ! Taking payments saying they were not paid ! Taking credit notes and the stress of the debt company calling me every day !! I think I’m owed a lot more by them !! But of course the unhelpful useless staff are not helping saying pay the bill or your be cut off !!! I do have all the proof and they said no just says 1 so pay it !! I think Vodafone owe me a lot more seeing how you have stress me out ! So wanted to sue Vodafone can anyone help ?

Not a good experience at all @Kellyann18

If this was my situation I'd carry out the following.

  1. Raise an official complaint via Complaints/code-of-practice. This way you have created a paper trail.
  2. Raise this also via the Vodafone Social Media Team's as they are also part of the Customer Escalation Team's. Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries.
  3. Vodafone then have 8 weeks to resolve the issue and then you can ask for a Deadlock Letter, or they'll typically just supply one anyway if resolution cannit be reached , and then engage with the Communications Ombudsman who'll then arbitrate on your behalf.
  4. Check my Credit File via Experian  ( other Credit Houses can be used to check too ) to ensure nothing negative is on my Credit File. If it is then the Vodafone Social Media Team's also have a Credit File Specialist Team who can investigate the marker. And you can ask Experian to add a Notice of Correction.
  5. Contact the Debt Collection Agency and advise this is a mistake on Vodafone's part and advise to pass this back to Vodafone. That way they are duty bound to suspend any Collection steps.

All the above is free to use to help you get to a resolution.

Using a Solicitor etc may yield some fee's etc.

However you decide to proceed I wish you all the best.

I'm disappointed to see you've had this kind of experience @Kellyann18 and I'm sure we can get this sorted for you. As we'll need access to your account to do this, pop us private message through one of our social channels and one of our dedicated team will get your account back on track and make sure this mix up hasn't had an impact on your credit file.
