Vodafone UK fails to port my old number in for a week now. Should I cancel contract?

Bought a deal about 10 days ago, not an upgrade but brand new.

To move my number (with old Vodafone pay monthly) into this new Vodafone 2 year contract, I had to quickly move number into https://xender.vip/ https://omegle.onl/ Three PAYG, get their PAC and give it to Vodafone to port n my number into the new contract.

It has been a week since the expected move day passed, they feed me BS about technical issues and no resolution in sight. If I wait any longer, I will miss my 2 weeks cooling off period.

Should I go ahead and cancel?

Hi @mahalkong! I'm sorry that you've had to wait so long for your number to port over. If you haven't already, please contact our Social Media team here, and they'll be able to review your account in full and reach out to our Porting team on your behalf to find out what's going on for you 🙂

I cant think of a bigger rip off than an 2 year contract and new phone with Vodafone.
The last new mobile i bought was in 2016. Never again.

When you mount up the months for this new piece of hi-tech. Go through all the hassle of terrible data speeds when you really need it.
Any problems with the speeds, its always YOUR device thats got the problem, or its the SIM card thats playing up, or the Router is faulty. Round and round in circles we go.

All this faffin around and being told its always the hardware and things will be looked into.  Its never the network at fault.

Get charged £££'s for sending a few simple picture messages on sms. Its the same bloody IP addresses, so i dont know why it costs so much.

These prices aswell are all exclusive of VAT, so they slap that on after aswell. This process should not be used at the retailer end, and only for businesses and trade.  They get away with it though and should be reported.  Its not legal to do that surely.

Then youve got the secure net, with another sneaky £1 after 3 months if you dont realise. It happens.

Then you get the Pro Rata charge, another load of crap.

Im paying for a SIM only 2 year contract at £25.36 a month. Rip off for the service. Its only a god damn sim card.
Originally £20 they show you.  I added the extra sms picture option for £3.  So its £2.36 as an extra which you aint really told about.  Its only when you question the extra cost, they then cough up and tell you, "oh thats the VAT",  Uhhh?  I didnt know about that !!!
Sneaky and wrong in my opinion.

I can handle the price, coming in at around £600 for 2 years. I got £40 back last year, so that takes it down to £560.

I cant bear to think how much a new phone is these days with an unlimited data plan.
I bet its double to what im paying. It must be.

Id cancel.  Keep your old phone or save up for a few months, and buy a new one outright.

🙂
