Vodafone account not closed with credit agencies

I have searched and a number of people have the same issue but don't seem to have a resolution.

I closed an account on 4th April and it's still showing as active with Clearscore and Noddle. Online chat say the account is inactive and closed.

Clearscore shows the last update from Vodafone was 15th May, so it should be closed now. Any suggestions as to how to get Vodafone to do this? TIA!

@Happegurung If you'd like us to look into this further for you, you can send us your details via the private message I've sent you.

Hi

Same problem here and my account should have been closed 15yrs ago!! All I know is my signing on name and account number. Been trying for ages to get through to your credit control people so thought I’d try here. Any ideas??

Hi @OZZ707, we have a specialist Credit File team on the social media channels who'll be happy to help with your query. You can speak with our team by dropping us a message on Facebook or Twitter. When you do message us, if you're greeted by the Bot, just select 'Get Started' followed by 'Asked to DM', you can find all the contact details here. If you could also include the Vodafone account number in your first message, that will be really helpful.

@MarkD

i have just got off the phone to a lovely lady in the credit file team and fingers crossed she has been able to sort this out. I really hope so anyway. Thanks for your reply and offer to assist.

 Thanks

Thanks for the update, it sounds like the advisor is getting everything sorted. If you do need any additional help, just let us know, if we need access to the Vodafone account or the notes, the quickest way will be on social media. Any general questions or updates, we would love to hear them on the Community 🙂

Hi there,

I have been having an ongoing battle with Vodafone for over a year now. My account had 2 lines. Then the account somehow got ‘broken’ and my direct debit kept on rebounding back to my account - even though I had funds to pay it. I would ring up to pay the bill and either be told that the direct debit would be collected again (this would also fail) OR that my bill was £0. It would take me many hours EACH MONTH to pay my bill.

I left Vodafone and I have taken my complaint through the ombudsman. Twice. My complaint is mainly over the fact that Vodafone have applied negative credit scores to the months that I was late in paying (see above reasons). Ombudsman has found that the bills should have been paid. I disagree because of the issues raised - but I will try to take those issues elsewhere.

my main issue today is that Vodafone appears to still have not closed my account. They appear to still be charging me. I have no bills to tell me this but my credit file is still deteriorating.

can someone please confirm that my account is closed and that I am not being charged anymore?

I have ported my number to another provider and have voice recording from Vodafone confirming the account is not active.

help me!!!
