Vodafone negative impact on credit rating

Hi,
Last summer I got a pay as you go monthly mobile broadband.  I was told in store it was easy to cancel.  I cancelled and paid in September.  I was told there was nothing more to do and no further sums were due.  Then earlier this year I got a default letter. I paid outstanding sum in full and closed account.  I can see it has impacted and results as a default on my credit rating.  How can this be resolved?
I have no debt and need credit rating back to normal.

If this was my situation @klaw2 I'd raise a complaint Here complaints/code-of-practice  … by filling out this form you then have a paper trail as proof if needed, and ask Experian to add a Notice of Correction.

More info in Default-on-your-Credit-File-How-to-add-a-Notice-of-Correction.

I wish you all the best with this.

I appreciate from my own personal experience how damaging a default can be.
