Can we switch to an esim for the use of united states roaming from a sim card linked to a monthly pay Vodafone contract

Thank you for your reply. What is not clear for me is that if I pay for the specific esim card at the  $ amount requested do I still have to pay the daily amount or part of the daily amount of the roaming cost applied by Vodafone for the united  states. Is there a way that Vodafone can avoir the use of the esim if bought and installed abroad? Thanks.

@Speedulo - just so that I understand, is it that you wont to use a USA SIM in your phone as well as the Vodafone UK one?

Yes the idea is to take a USA esim and use it while been there and use back the uk sim card when back in UK

Thanks for confirming that for us @Speedulo If you purchase and activate a USA SIM whilst in the USA, you will be charged whatever price you agree to with the network you choose over there. If you choose to use a Vodafone UK SIM whilst in the USA, as per our Roaming Page, if you have a data plan with 83 inclusive destinations then roaming is included (up to 25GB). If not, you'll be charged £6.85 a day on top of your existing plan for calls, texts and up to 25GB of data.
