Hi all
Hope someone can help after spending about 7 hours , 4 phone call and 5 different chat I am about to give up.
So I have a Samsung S8 which I got through Vodafone on a 24 month contract (pay monthly). When I got it I was told it was unlocked and could take any SIM card.
On a recent trip abroad, when I inserted a local SIM it stated : SIM network PIN blocked . Enter network PUK. However when I did this I can't get past this screen kept rolling back it it
So after quite some time I gave up and presumed my 'handset' was locked. However every time I contact Vodafone customer services they keep saying I need the NUC number, which I have but can't get past the PUK screen.
I would really appreciate any advice or comments how I can get past the PUK screen and hopefully onto using my NUC number.
Many thanks for any comments and your time.
Regards
Mike

Hi @Mike777. It's disappointing to hear that you've spent so much time on this. We understand the importance of being able to access your phone. In regards to the matter at hand, we do state the following on our 'Where can I find my PUK code?' Help & Support webpage:
"You need a Phone Unlock Code (PUK) to unlock your phone if you’ve entered your SIM PIN wrong three times. To get a PUK code, call us on 191 (0333 304 0191) – when asked why you’re calling, say “I need a PUK code”.
Once you’ve got your PUK, follow the on-screen instructions to unlock your phone. If you enter the wrong PUK 10 times in a row, your SIM will be permanently blocked"
Alternatively, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Social Media team.

I am sure the code needed will be the MCK Master Unlock or unfreeze code, this is entered into the phone to bring up the unlocking menu before typing in the unlock code.
There has been a lot about this on previous threads and Vodafone have to provide the code.

Thanks you very much for taking the time to reply, its very much appreciated.
So just to confirm l take out my vodafone SIM and put in the 'other' providers SIM in it asks for the PUK number...see exact request in opening post. I put in the PUK for the other providers SIM and enter and it just asks again so not accepted.
I have heard about the mastercode but wondered where l would input that as the screen message l get is requesting the PUK code.
Would appreciate any further advise and thank you for your time.

Mike

If l get it where or how do l input because as mentioned with l put the other SIM in it asks for the puk code.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks
