My pixel 3xl drops every call (made or received) after exactly 29 minutes and 50 seconds. I don't know if this is related to phone settings, network or what so wondered if anyone had had similar issues or knew of a fix. It's a real pain in the backside as currently working from home and means I get cut off in every conference call!
Solved! Go to best answer.

Hi all, I have a Pixel 3 on Vodafone and have the same issue. I followed some advice to disable WiFi calling on my account (webpage) and on the settings on the phone. After a reboot I am now able to call > 30 mins! Hope that helps!

I did a factory reset of my phone this morning, just to double check this definitely wouldn't resolve the issue and of course it didn't.
I definitely am unable to get the WiFi calling option, however this evening I have tried an EE sim and I had both the 4g calling option and the WiFi calling option. Of course the call went beyond 29 minutes and 50 seconds.
I contacted Xiaomi and they were happy for me to return the phone to them to be looked at, but I know this is not a phone issue it is a Vodafone network issue. I guess I will be switching to EE!
Also, even if I toggle the 4g button on my phone with the Vodafone sim in it, it's as if it does nothing and the call still drops. So the only way I can resolve it is to change the preferred network. @mdc1983uk you may find the same thing.

@KayleighH Yeah i'd easy change my service if I wasn't in a contract for 19/20 more months. Guess i'm old school where you take the handset and pay the service and just expect it to work like it was in the 2000's. Of couse it works on another network, the others run and maintain themselves. Vodafone and this Voxi thing is beyond me they are the same company. Suprised they haven't fobbed you off to Voxi support actually. It's like if you buy ASDA mobile SIM it works off Vodafone but they won't talk to you because you're on ASDA. Shouldn't be still selling these handsets while they know there is a problem with them! Remove them from store and fix the issue then sell them!

I don't know about old school, but that's certainly the way it should work and the service that you pay for.
My problem is that although I know EE works on this phone and the most logical thing to do would be to switch to that network, they are much more expensive and at the moment I have such a good deal through Voxi, I am reluctant to change. I just want a fix to what is so clearly a network issue and not a handset issue.
With regards to Vodafone passing me to Voxi support, I think they have. So whilst I am messaging Vodafone through Facebook messenger, I do believe it's a Voxi team member that is actually responded.
@Effie please could you let us know on any updates. This has now been resolved on the Oppo handset, but the Xiaomi and Poco handsets remain affected. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Managed a phone call longer than 29:50 today after a new update from OnePlus (same parent company as Oppo), whether it's no longer using WiFi/4G calling at all or the issue has been fixed I can't tell. I still have no toggle option in the settings for VOLTE however so seems more likely it's not using data calling at all.

@ejrobinson It probably is. I reckon they added the settings in with the update and now for the rest of us to wait to have manufacturers do the same. Why mine worked for so long without the settings is beyond me but it does seem like the Oppo/OnePlus have sorted it. Might take longer in Xiaomi/Poco because I don't these these were know to have the fault until June so may take longer

That's good news @ejrobinson .
Hopefully Vodafone can have other manufacturers get on the case
As of today i am still good for 29m50s+ phone calls

I have the exact same issue on my Oppo Find x2 Pro (May 2022 security patch level), it is getting really frustrating. every time between 29-30mins call drops.
I have disabled the WIFI calling, reset the phone, switched to 4G mode only.
I have just ordered a new sim to see if that helps.

Hi all, just a quick update on where I am with my Oppo Find X2 Pro and the 29:50 issue.
I have been able to make a call that lasted 32 + minutes today! I haven't had a chance to fully test this in various scenarios, but I am hopeful the issue has been fixed. A few things to note:
1. I've received the July update that another Oppo user mentioned.
2. I've never requested for the 4g/ WiFi calling to be turned off on the account.
3. Have never asked for or received a new SIM for this issue.
4. The call I made today was to a call centre 08000 number, so I haven't tested other mobiles/ networks etc .
Once I've done some further testing, I'll update with my results.
