Wifi calling note 20 ultra

Hi there, anyone know when wifi calling will be available on the note 20 ultra? With vodafone on a pay monthly contract and bought the phone as a pre order from Samsung.

It's usually a case of keeping an eye on the wi-fi-calling Vodafone page 

It also says "All the devices on this page will support WiFi calling when you buy them directly from us. Please note that phones bought from other UK telecom providers are unlikely to support our WiFi calling, with the exception of iPhones, which should work regardless.

Devices might not be compatible when bought from third parties, we’re working with these other manufacturers to add our settings."

That said we have seen people post that their phone did work even though they had bought it elsewhere.

It's a case of trying it.

The phone definitely has the capability.

Just because you purchased a phone direct from Samsung does not mean you would be unable to use WiFi calling, my phone is purchased direct from Samsung and I don't have any problems using WiFi calling.

Try texting CALLING to 97888, you will get a return text to let you know WiFi calling has been added to yur account, you should then be able to toggle on the service on the My Vodafone Application.

To test the service is working, just put the phone on airline mode but mine works so well on my Samsung I only have to turn on WiFi.

I hope you manage you get it working, you shouldn't have any problems.

I can't get mine to work. VF pushed settings etc. But still cannot get it on.

Hey @Bernybernyberny, it may worth going through the steps advised above by @AnnS to see if this helps. If you have already tried these and/or are still struggling with getting WiFi calling we can check your account for you to see if there is anything that might be hindering this.

Try getting on the live chat - in some instances they've been able to push an OTA update to my phone to enable WiFi calling.

It must need a software update from Vodafone because I came from the S20 Ultra and I had WiFi calling working on both Vodafone and BTU firmware's, I've just got my Note 20 Ultra and there's no option or setting I can see.

I may flash the BTU firmware on mine anyway as you get quicker software updates as Vodafone are normally a few weeks behind.

Finally sorted. Spoke to Vodafone who had to push the wifi calling update out to my phone. Was sorted in a few hours.
