My LG V40 was bought in the EU, factory unlocked, and it had the option of wifi calling. You completely messed up my phone by disabling wifi calling after I had some issue with my phone.
Now you cannot enable wifi calling, not even after I spent 3 days asking you to do something and help me. I completely lost the option and can't find wifi calling anymore in settings.
Good-by Vodafone. Never again with you.

Hi @Galjinocka

I've been looking at the Vodafone Support page here > wi-fi-calling  in relation to Wi-Fi Calling and the eligible phone's Vodafone say they'll support with this feature and I can't see your model of phone listed.

Vodafone state " All these phones support both WiFi and 4G Calling when bought from us. Please note that phones bought from other UK network providers and third parties are unlikely to support Vodafone WiFi and 4G Calling – with the exception of iPhones, which should work regardless. "

Now I appreciate it worked before which was a bonus if it did.

May i ask > What exactly do you think Vodafone did that stopped the feature working on your phone ?

If the feature isn't now available in your phone's settings.

Or Myvodafone via >

If you can't turn on WiFi Calling on your phone, check that it's turned on in your My Vodafone account:

  • My Vodafone > Services and Extras > Calling options

  • My Vodafone app > Manage Bars & Extras > Buy and manage extras > Calling options "

.......... then maybe try the set up guides in the link and ask the Vodafone Support Agent to send the settings to your phone via an Over The Air Configuration OTA which may work.

And Register for Vodafone Wi-Fi Calling

Text the word CALLING to 97888

This is a free text which will add the service to your account

You should receive the following confirmation text:

Thanks.

We’ll add Wi-Fi Calling to your account in the next 24 hours and will let you know when you’re all set up.

If you’d like to discuss this with us, or if you have any other issues, you can find more info here or contact-us.

Once you receive the confirmation text, switch on Wi-Fi Calling in your settings

Go to Settings, scroll down and choose the Application icon

Choose Phone and scroll down until you see Wi-Fi Calling – select the box beside this option

A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm if you want to enable Wi-Fi Calling – tap OK"

Thank you for your reply.
Been there, done all that.
I don't have the wifi calling in my settings anymore at all.
If they don't want to provide SIM only phones with wifi calling, they should emphasise:

We are selling SIM only, but not with the full service. We can only offer you with mobile signal. We don't have 5G in the rural area although we would like you to buy a new 5G mobile with us. We have neither a 4G signal in the rural area, but we still do not support your phone.
Btw, LG V40 has wifi calling (every model does). My phone doesn't anymore after they disabled wifi calling on my phone.

Hi @Galjinocka

If you previously had the data calling feature on your phone you will be able to re add the service.

I know when I had to factory reset my phone I lost the data calling feature and tried just about everything to get it back, live chat sorted this out and sent the OTA data calling settings to my phone, just had to turn it on in the settings and it worked immediately.  You can also drop the Social Team a message through Twitter or Facebook social channels and they will get the data calling settings sent to your phone.  The Team can be contacted here: Contact Us

The last three days I spent with the customer service over the phone.

After hours of waiting, they didn't do anything to fix the problem.

It's enough now.

I am leaving Vodafone.

Thank you for your replays.

Sorry, I forgot to answer your question:
In July last year, I had some troubles with my Vodafone broadband. Whenever I approach my mobile to my laptop, people can't hear me anymore if I'm talking with someone over the mobile.
I called customer service, and someone from technical support told me interference was probably happening because of wifi calling on my phone. Then they disabled wifi calling, and I didn't need wifi calling on my mobile back then, so I never checked after they changed the options for wifi calling.
But wifi calling doesn't exist on my LG anymore, even after I reset my phone yesterday.
So, they messed up my phone. And, even the problem with interference with my mobile/laptop still exists.

You have 2 issues here @Galjinocka

Drop the Social Team a message from the link in my first reply.  Quite sure they will be able to address both issues and get these solved.  At least by coming here you have found the best place.
