Hi All,

 

My contract ends with VF on 12th April 2017 and I want to move to O2 (much better signal).

 

I understood that I should give 30 day notice to cancel. But after using the 'live' chat feature this is not so. Apparently I can just get in touch with VF on 12th April on the last day of my contract to request my PAC for free.

 

Will my contract just fizzle out?

 

Will I get any details/letter/email about the contract end? I won't be signed up for another 2 years then?

 

So when can I sign up with O2? On the same day 12th April?

Hi. You can request your PAC at anytime and once you use it (use within 30 days or it expires and you will need a new one) that will end your contract and you will be liable for any charges up to your end date.

Sorry I must have got the wrong end of the stick. I didn't realise that by not upgrading/renewing my contract it would naturally come to an end. I thought that it would auto renew for anothe 24 months :smileyfrustrated:

Hi. If you don't cancel or use a PAC it goes onto a 30 day rolling contract, it won't just stop without you doing something to bring it to an end.

So when is it best to request a PAC and use it to port to another network?

As near to contract end date as possible not any early upgrade date. 

 

Using the Pac will auto cancel the contract.

Any time in your last 30 days then you won't pay any early termination fees, you will be liable up to your end date, you will receive two final bills, one with any charges on and then a final one with zero balance, don't cancel your direct debit until you receive your zero balance one.
