Like the title says..

Can I get my ipad3 to work with sure signal. I have registered the number to my sure signal account but the ipad 3 isn't picking up the 3G signal...

Any ideas? Or Help? Or does it not work with SS?

Hi

Can you take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread, and then post back your results if you’re not directed to an existing thread?

Thanks

All other phones are getting full 3G signal. Turned off wifi on the Ipad to see if it works and it is not working at all.

Keeps popping up saying could not activate mobile date network

Try turning off the Ipad remove the sim and restart the ipad without a sim - turn off the wifi - then after 1 hour shut down the ipad - refit the sim and try it again -  this worked for my phone

cheers

Steve

Cheers mate. will give that a go

Hi Oobermann,

Thanks for your posts here.

If you can give stevengjames’ suggestion a try and let us know how you get on.

Also can you confirm if the iPad works fine using the normal Vodafone network? Does it pick up signal away from the Sure Signal?

James

Yeah it picks up the Vodafone network elsewhere, just doesn't seem to pick up signal from my SS box, tried the following suggestions about taking micro sim out etc etc

Hi Oobermann,

Can you try removing the iPad3 from the Sure Signal's list of registered numbers, leave it a short while, then re-add it and wait for the confirmation text to arrive? This will just help to refresh the number's connection to the Sure Signal.

If this does not help, can you try removing the number and popping the SIM into an alternate device, then re-registering the number? If you do this, does the device manage to pick up the Sure Signal's 3G signal or not? This will show if the issue is tied to the SIM/number or the device.

Once you've done this second test, don't forget to remove and re-add the number again, as the change of device will be picked up by the Sure Signal.

Let us know how you get on.

Dave

If I've helped at all today, why not leave me a little feedback?

I got my iPad 3 3g yesterday and want to register it on my Sure Signal but I have been unable to find the "mobile number" that I need to input into the Sure Signal management page, even though I have checked Settings/general/about it shows "unknown". The 3 G is usable but i would like to be able to route through SS if I really need to as we have no 3 G terrestrial signal in this area. I am sure that the Imei and other numbers are too long. Can you assist please?

The SS works well normally with my phones and never has more than 2 handsets connected at a time.

Thanks

Mike

Hi MikeJAJ

You can find the number on the packaging of the SIM card alternatively if you can pop it into a phone and dial *#100# the number will pop up on the screen :Smiling:

Thanks
