I have just moved home and my new flat does not have an internet connection at the moment so I have purchased a Mobile Broadband USB dongle. I have plugged it into my Mac Desktop and loaded the software. The light on the dongle turns to green and the Vodafone window says Device Detected but it also says Not Connected and the Connect button in the window is grayed out. I am also getting an error message that says "Could Not Create Network Settings - try restarting the application on your mac. If the problem persists try deleting the preferences or re-installing the application." I have tried all these but with no change. My Apple Mac is running the latest Yosemite Operating System.
I have looked at the Network Connections list but there is no mention at all of a Vodafone device.

Have resolved the issue. The software on the dongle was not the latest. Not really a help as I needed the dongle in the first place to access the internet so how was I supposed to download an update? Managed to by using a friend's computer in the end.

Hi
I'm afraid I've read there are a number of dongles not currently supported in Yosemite.
Cheers
