No 3g Signal In Nw1 3an

Good morning,

Myself and a number of colleagues have had no Vodafone 3G service in Triton Square, London, NW1 3AN for a couple of weeks now. Prior to that the service was very reliable.

Could you please check to see if there is a known problem and feedback any information you may be able to. If there is not a known problem, is it possible to get it investigated?

Thank you very much for your time.

Hello again. I'm once again unable to get 3G in postcode NW1 3AN this morning. Identical symptoms to last time and I've confirmed that it is affecting other users in the same area. Could you look into it please?

Thank you

Hi the_narv,

I've just had a look at the cell sites in your local area and the nearest 3G transceiver to your post code is currently showing an alarm. The enginners are aware of it and are investigating the fault (case reference no. 1915449). The post code you have provided is extremely dense concerning how many transceivers we have in the region but if you're having difficulty making calls and sending texts I'd recommend setting your phone to 2G/GSM only for the time being until we repair the fault.

Thanks,

Adam

Thanks Adam,

The service is working again this morning so thanks for any input you had in getting it sorted.

Do we know if the fix is permanent this time, or is there still an underlying issue?

Thank you.

Hi the_narv,

Great to hear that your issue has been resolved, you should find that it is a permanent fix and you should not experience any further issues with your 3G coverage. If you do get any further issues do not hesitate to post back and we can look into it further for you.

Remember most of the things you would normally call customer services for can now be done online using our great range of self service tools available through our My Account service.

Thanks B-)

Hi,

It's looking like this permanent fix has been rather temporary. The problem has occurred again. Several people in the same area again having trouble connecting to 3G services in postcode NW1 3AN. Could you please do what you normally do to restore service and then look into how to stop this from happening?

Thank you.

Hi the_narv

Thanks for coming back to us here. I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with this still. I've just checked the local sites and everything appears to be working correctly. There are a number of sites up and down that postcode could you give me a street (for example, near the junction of Conway street) that will further define where you are? That way I can see exactly which site is causing the problem

Thanks

Wayne

Hi Wayne,

Hi the_narv

I've had a look into this for you and can't seem to find Triton Square  it's probably just not named on our map. I have done a check on some of the local sites and cannot see any problems listed.

I'm going to raise this to our faults team for an engineer to be take a look. I'll need to contact you directly in order to do so this so I've sent you an email. If you could respond with all the details it asks for then I'll be in touch as soon as I can.

This problem appears to now be resolved. Is it possible to identify what was done so we can try and speed up the resolution next time? If you look back through this thread you will see that this same issue appears to affect a lot of people in this same area every few weeks.

Thank you.
