Hi

Which phone are you using ?

Try going into its settings and choose 3G only as it may be sticking to be strongest signal it can pick up being 4G which will stop it connecting to the SS

Edit :

It may also be worth trying a different power supply with the SureSignal (Version 1 & 2 ), as there have been some reports of replacement power supplies solving the issues. They are available on eBay for around £10. From member cineriv "But firstly, have a look around for a suitable unit with a 12 Volt output @ around 1.5Amp capacity that you could 'borrow' to prove the fault. Suitable units can be found on external hard drives, monitors, printers, routers etc.etc."

Current Phone  >

Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512gb.

iPhone 5s and is already on 3G. I fail to see how changing an already working power supply would solve this?

Thank you for checking your phone is on 3G

with the SS v1 & 2 checking the power cord which maybe deteriorating is a known trouble shooting tip.

Thanks for that but it would appear that a change of power lead makes no difference.

I've checked and can see that there has been some usage and it appears connected.

From the traceroute you can see steps 2 and 3 timeout and this may be due to a change in the router.

Please check the Smart Setup on the router is disabled as an update may have enabled it.

The ports that need to be opened on the router are:

  • 50 (TCP & UDP)
  • 53  (TCP & UDP)
  • 67 (UDP)
  • 68 (UDP)
  • 123 (UDP)
  • 500 (UDP)
  • 1723 (TCP & UDP)
  • 4500 (UDP)
  • 33434 - 33445 (UDP)

IP addresses to be allowed on the router & firewall

    • 183.133.177-179
    • 183.133.181-182
    • 183.131.128-191

I can see it's registered successfully, so once the above steps have been followed please perform a reset.

If you're still experiencing issues, please try connecting this at another location such as a friend or family members (preferably with a different ISP).
