The signal around Whiteley (PO155SH) has been terrible lately (2-3 weeks) Hardly any 4G signal and when you do get 4G it's very very slow. 3G signal is just as bad.
Signal is fine anywhere else just rubbish here. Can something be done about this?

Hi @Vinny1991
I've looked at your postcode in the Vodafone Network Checker and your local and surrounding masts look ok with no maintenance work going on either.
Can you complete the Network Template and copy and paste your answers back here which will help the Vodafone Customer Support Team to take a look.
The Network Checker is here > https://www.vodafone.co.uk/explore/network/uk-coverage-map/

1) Does the issue happen in just one location? If so, how far do you have to travel to regain service?
- yes just in this area. Works in Southampton as that's where i live.
2) What is the full postcode (e.g. ST1 1AA) of where the issue occurs?
- PO155SH
3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone?
- Yes. Few people I work with having same issue.
4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs?
- 4G signal is bad. 3G signal works but only 1-2 bars
5) Does this happen on 2G, 3G, 4G or all?
- all
6) When did you first notice this issue?
- 2-3 weeks ago.
7) Is the issue permanent or intermittent? If intermittent, are there certain times of the day when it occurs?
- Permanent.

@Vinny1991 I've checked your local serving site (80037) and it's performing correctly.
I'd expect to obtain a 4G connection in your area, however this won't be a strong connection.
I can see you've stated that 3G is similar to 4G when in this area - have you manually changed your device settings down or have you just noticed this when connected to 3G?
If not, please try to do this and let us know how you get on.

Hi Alex
ive done the 3G setting today to see how it went. It's no different. Still slow and only getting 1-2 bars 3G when I get 3G.
Its causing the battery on my phone to die aswell as it's always searching for signal when signal is lost.

@Vinny1991 - Thanks for getting back to us.
If there’s been any changes in the area recently (new buildings, an increase in area population etc) this can impact the level of coverage you receive.
I’ve checked your local sites again and as @Alex advised, these all look to be performing fine.
3G and 4G are available as mostly outdoor coverage in that area. When indoors, you should find that 2G is most reliable. Changing your phone settings to 2G only will help improve the coverage you receive for calls and texts.

Are there any plans to upgrade the area?
Its lucky if I even get signal. Usually have no service for most of the day.

@Vinny1991 – There aren’t any plans showing for the next three months, but keep checking back on our UK coverage checker for any updates.

Thing is 4g used to work good around here, but all of a sudden 4g doesn't work and hardly get any signal what so ever. Something's happened.
