Hi All,

I've been having problems getting a Vodafone Sure Signal to connect through a Draytek 2830n V2 via a fibre broadband connection. I found the following guide and run with it, Version-3-VSS-Draytek-2850-and-Fibre-Broadband/.

Can you take a look at my tracing route and let me know if this is ok?

Regards, Barry

As the Vodafone Sure Signal worked when it was connected at home, it shows there's no fault with the hardware.

Are you using the same router at both locations? If not, please test this and ensure the following ports are open:

Ports to be opened for forwarding

  • 8 (TCP & UDP)
  • 50 (TCP & UDP)
  • 53  (TCP & UDP)
  • 67 (UDP)
  • 68 (UDP)
  • 123 (UDP)
  • 500 (UDP)
  • 1723 (TCP & UDP)
  • 4500 (UDP)
  • 33434 - 33445 (UDP)

IP addresses to be allowed on the router & firewall

  • 183.133.177-179
  • 183.133.181-182
  • 183.131.128-191

I can see it's registered successfully, so once the above steps have been followed please perform a reset.

The Vodafone Sure Signal is only valid with PPoA connections, please check with your ISP that this is what you have.

We're aware of some users having difficulties with some BT Business services but this has only been found with BT Infinity.

I’ve redirected the additional ports and add the extra IP’s and rest the SS3. Please see attached image. There is still no change.

We are using bt business infinity, can the difficulties you mentioned be fixed?

@brushtec

You can find more information on this here.

We aren't using a BT Infinity broadband routers. We are using the openreach modem and a Draytek.

@brushtec

You are using BT Business Infinity, it may the type of connection that’s causing the issue.

I’d suggest trying the Sure Signal at a different location, to rule out the device as being faulty.
