Hi Guys,
Any chance someone could check the status of my Sure Signal for me. I dusted it off and connected it for the first time in about 9 months last night and the thing flashed all the right lights but didn't give signal
The SN is 40111324387
Cheers

Hi Nabs,
Thanks for that :smileyhappy:
Your serial number is still showing on the systems as active, so I’ve resynced it for you now.
So that the resync completes, can you do a factory reset for me:-
Let me know how you go on.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Nabs,
If the Sure Signal isn't used for 6 months then it will disconnect from the network altogether. I'm afraid there's no way for us to remotely reactivate it again once this happens.
Was there any reason it wasn't used for so long? If it's still under warranty we can look to repair it.
Cheers, Ben

Hi Ben,
Thanks for the answer, though somewhat disappointing.
I moved back in with my parents in January whilst I saved for my own place. They already have a SureSignal so mine just sat in the cupboard whilst I was there. I'm now moving out and the place i'm moving to doesn't have mobile coverage at all so I was going ot start using my Sure Signal again.
I thought it was 12 months before they were cut off? Do you know what the business reason is for disconnecting these after such a short time? From a customer perspective I can only see it as a way to make more money by forcing people to buy a new one.
EDIT: Might be one Ellis will need to probe the business for answers?
I doubt it's still in warranty as i've had it for some time (its a v2). I guess my only option now is just to chuck it?
Cheers

Hi Nabs,
The Sure Signal Terms and Conditions do state that there’s a 12 month limit before the box can’t be reconnected.
I’ve checked your serial number on our systems and it’s coming up as invalid.
Can you check and confirm the number for me please?
If it is a Sure Signal V2, it’s possible it may be out of warranty, I can’t check this though until I can see the unit through our systems.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
Sorry typo in my initial post, had a 3 instead of a 2.
Correct SN should be 40111324287
