Help please. I have a Sure Signal v3, it is registered & plugged in and attached as recommended. The power light (red) is flashing, the next light is solid, the middle light (in service) is not lit, the the last light is solid.
I have satellite broadband connected via a Netgear N300 router (WNR 2200).
I have tried resetting the SS & unplugging both it and the router. I have left it overnight, but no change.
I have been with Vodafone for less than a week but am considering going back to EE as their UMA system is so much easier and cheaper.

Hi There
From what you describe, I've got a couple of thoughts.
First could be that the Satellite boardband IP address isn't in the whitelist of known ISPs that the suresignals can connect from.
That would be a requst to the team to investigate if you can find out what your public IP address and/or ISP is
Secondly and more likely the netgear isn't quite configured right, due to it being a VPN aware bit of kit, the traffic could be getting held up.
Could you take a look in the web config pages, and have a look around the firewall and/or vpn sections to see if there are any allowances for VPN Passthrough, if there is, you need to allow the IPSEC version
If that is there, save the settings, reboot the router, and reset the suresignal by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds (assuming it's the power plug type device)

Seemingly VSS does not work with satelite broadband.

Hi John1956,
Thanks for posting. Apologies if we missed the part about your being a satellite broadband user.
This is something that is covered by the FAQ's here under the first topic, 'What do I need for Vodafone Sure Signal?'.
I've reminded other members of the eForum team here to help avoid this happening again.
Many thanks, Ben
