The last 2 times I've topped up on my payg I have been shown I have various text and data allowances but zero credit, despite my last topup bringing a text saying I had nearly £30 and am able to make calls. The 2345 service and my online accouont say £0.00 credit. Live chat thought this is correct and I can not make calls, but I can.

Could you check in your myvodafone to see what Payg Tariff your currently on and what allowances that gives.
For example the Big Value Bundle Tariff will give you a set of allowances to use over 30 days which costs a certain amount per month which is taken from your top up credit.
Or there is the new Payg1 which if you use your phone to make calls texts etc then £1 is taken from your top up credit for the day.
