According to the features list and also the booklet that came with my Vodafone 527, I should be able to get a USB connector for the phone. I understand that I need one with the proprietary connector at one end and USB at the other, but I have not been able to find one. Does anyone know which Sagem model the 527 corresponds to, or which is the closest compatible connector, or know of a stockist?
Thanks.

dude, all you need to do is Google ShopBlue 527 data cable. Third party links aren't allowed on this forum as the products are not official and are purchased at your own risk.
Nice

I ordered from ShopBlue on 10th August and they still haven't delivered or refunded my money so i am trying to get my bank to recliam it.
So as things stand at the moment, i wouldn't recommend them. (or vodafone!)
Found this on eBay:
Sagem MY300c / Vodafone 411 411x 533 527 USB Data Cable so i presume a Gagem MY300c cable will work.

I'm also having the same problem. Bought 2 of these phones for my 2 daughters and not sure how to get music on to phones. Tried copying files from pc to memory card. This lists the tracks but they won't play. Would I be able to copy the music from my pc to the phones with one of these cables and if so will the Sagem MY300c USB cable be compatible?

By connecting the handset and the PC with a USB data cable you can move files between the two, so that would allow you to transfer music.
One thing I would consider is whether the location or format of the files is the reason why the tracks won't play. If it's the location, that's something connecting by cable will help you with by using the PC Suite application. If it's down to the file format, then it will only play tracks in the right format so the cable won't change this.
Is there a specific message which is displayed when you try to play the tracks, or doews the handset simply not list them?
As has been mentioned previously, I cannot confirm if this model of cable is definitely the correct one . If the shops suggested earlier cannot confirm things, then the best suggestion I can give is to run a google search to see what comes up.

My battery is fully charged and in connectivity, USB mode is set to USB key, which I understand to mean that it will open up in Windows Explorer. This is not happening! Do I need to alter the memory that I am using on the phone and if so how?

Insufficient power may refer to the actual cable connection which could be one of two things,
a: The phone is not fully charged (you have already confirmed that this is not the case)
b: The USB cable itself is not fully compatible or some sort of driver issue with your PC.
Is there a way you could test this out on another computer? Possibly one belonging to a colleague or via an internet cafe to see if this is an isolated issue pointing to the PC itself? it would certainly help diagnose what is going on, or at least narrow things down for us,
Thanks
