Vodafone Mobile Broadband - Getting HTTP Error 400 'An invalid request was received'

Hi,

I'm trying to connect to the website of our photographer to access photos from my wedding this Saturday just gone, I've been able to connect to it on WiFi, but when trying to get onto the site using my Vodafone Mobile Broadband it comes up with the following:

An invalid request was received. This may be caused by a malfunctioning proxy server or browser privacy software. If you are using a proxy server, bypass the proxy server or contact your proxy server administrator.

Clicking on 'fix this problem yourself' takes me to a page which then says:

I never used to get this message when going to the photographer's site using my Mobile Broadband, does anyone have an idea of how to fix this problem?

I've looked into fixing the problem myself (not that I should have to, but let's gloss over that for now).

Obviously there's nothing I can do about the proxy server, and looking at the Bad Behaviour FAQs there seems to be a bit of technical knowledge required on behalf of the site owner, who in this case is a Photographer, and unlikely to know how to validate IP addresses in the manner suggested by Bad Behaviour (having obviously met her I know that she did not create her site).

Which of course now means I have to eMail our Photographer, pass on the details of the problem I'm having accessing her site, and then wait for her to pass those details on to her website people, then wait for them to get back to her, assume they've fixed the problem, and then finally wait further for her to contact me to let me know the problem is solved (assuming it's solved first-time around).

Our Photographer is – as well as being booked solid and extremely busy for the rest of the year going into 2010, as one of the UK's top wedding photographers – in the process of re-locating her studio to London.

This obviously means she's not going to have a lot of time on her hands to deal with problems such as these.

Honestly, this isn't on. If – as the previous poster stated – '3' can get around this problem then I'd expect a company of Vodafone's size to be able to sort something out, if not a long-term solution then at the very least a short-term work-a-round.

As I didn't have a landline when I first signed-up to Vodafone Mobile Broadband a mobile connection was necessary, however now I'm afraid to say that as soon as my contracted term is up I'll be canceling my connection and having broadband installed in my home.
