Hi @kaiserimy, I can see that the Sure Signal has since made contact again.

If you're still experiencing issues, please let us know the light sequence that you're currently seeing on the device when filling in the details required in our template. Please post the results in your reply.

Hi Natasha, sorry for the late reply. I think the SS box does make contact with your servers but I haven't seen any 3G signal from it. The top two lights at this moment are on solid green with the other two off. But this pattern changes, with sometimes the 3rd light flashes on and off.

Still not working. Please help

Regards

Imy

@kaiserimy - The light sequence you’re seeing means that the Sure Signal is set up correctly and ready to make calls.

Are none of the registered numbers able to connect to the Sure Signal, since 1 February?

Please try restarting the phones to see if that help them to connect.

I’ve also resynced your Sure Signal in the meantime, as this may help things along.

If you’re still having issues, please get back to us with the following so we can check things further:

  • Your speed test results from here.

  • Your ping test results from here.

  • Your external IP address from here.

  • The results of a traceroute.

VSS Traceroute command

On a PC:

  1. Click on Start and select Run

  2. Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok

  3. A black box will appear.

  4. In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter

  5. Paste the output of this command into your reply.

Hi Jenny, it's just not making any kind of connection. The lights flash on and off continuously but don't show that light sequence I'm familiar with that shows the Sure Signal is online. So no, no mobiles are connecting. Below are results of the things you asked for:

Hi kaiserimy

Have you taken the advice from Band of Brothers in post #2 in relation  to trying another power supply.

There is a very good chance that it could be your problem.

Regards.

Do you mean like a new adapter? I'll have a search around for one and try that. But the thing is SS box is flashing away so there is power coming through.

Hi kaiserimy,

Yes, power adaptor or power lead, available from Ebay or Amazon for around £10-12 inc. delivery.

The power adaptor doesn't normally totally fail, they just degrade to a point where there is sufficient power to light the indicators, but not enough power to allow the SS to function correctly.

The first post here gives an insight to what is happening to the SS when the power adaptor degrades....... https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/SureSignal-1-flashing-but-not-working-possible-...

If you do have a suitable unit to try with, it must be a 12 volt unit with the capacity of at least 1.5 Amps and, of course, have the correct connector,

Regards.

Mike.

@kaiserimy

Thanks for getting those details back to us.

I can see that your Sure Signal's made contact with us yesterday at 10.49pm.

If you're still not receiving any signal for this, you can purchase the latest version online. It may be the case that your version one Sure Signal has ran it's shelf life.
