Vodafone Wallet App

I have been using Vodafone Wallet for some time, without any problems.  I use it mainly for storing loyalty cards and accessing my Smart Pass.  Unfortunately I left my phone unlocked in my top shirt pocket and, as a result, the PIN got entered incorrectly a number of times and the app is locked.

I am trying to get it unlocked.  The message on the app tells me to use 191 but when I call (and I've called three times now) the staff have no idea how to reset the PIN.  The agent yesterday suggested that I use the forum to get an answer!

 

Any thoughts and ideas welcomed.  BTW, this is NOT a SmartPass issue and I do not need to reset the password for that component which continues to work fine.

The issue has now been resolved and level 2 support was able to get a password reset enabled.  Thanks to Sarah L and to Manuj Jha.

Hi. 191 should be able to reset the pin, if you persevere they should be able to do it for you.

Still having problems can't get it sorted 191 only idear is to delete it and reinstall but it still locked my solution is to cancel my Vodafone contract after 20 years and change to a company who has the customer service I used to get from vodafone

I am also having the same problem with Vodafone wallet (wallet locked - an incorrect pin has been entered too many times).. SmartPass works fine.

I've called 191 numerious times w/o success. No-one at Vodafone seems to  kmow what i'm talking about :Sad_face:

If you're presented with an error while trying to use the form please try the following steps:

-Try using a different browser, such as Google Chrome

-Try to minimise the number of characters in the messages, as messages that are too long will not send. If you cannot write everything you wish to mention don't worry as our customer service will call or email you, giving you the full opportunity to elaborate and discuss anything

-When typing in the routing code at the top of the form, please ensure you only type in the code - you cannot input any additional information (such as a title or subject) 

-Clear your cache and cookies

-If you still cannot send the email, please use a different email account

Vodafone Wallet issue.

Wonder if anyone can give any direction, as 191 don't have a clue! In fact when I asked to speak with someone regarding the app and NOT the financial/payment institution, they put me through to SmartPass.... Dohhhh.

Okay. App opens okay BUT when I tried to access card (payments) history, it takes between 40secs-60secs to load the info. Never used to be like this, it used to load as one would expect, within a few seconds.

I have 'Force Stopped' the app.. Made no difference. I have uninstalled and Reinstalled the app.. No difference.

Maybe it's a server side issue, but no one seems to know anything about Wallet, Further than how to install it.

NB/ My wifi and 4g connections are working good and fast , and other (data use) apps work fine.

Normally, as one would expect, the detail within the app (History of payments, selectable by 7 days, 30 days, or all, would present after a few seconds (as one would again expect). Since Friday, the information has been taking between 40 and 70 seconds to load, which 'seems like an eternity' !
I have 'Force stopped' the app, on my device (Galaxy S7Edge), but makes no difference. I have IUNINSTALLED then REINSTALLED the app.. makes no difference. There was in fact an UPDATE at the weekend, to Wallet, which is now running v4.5.12, but again this has made NO DIFFERENCE.
When one opens the apps, and looks at ANY of the history periods (7 days, 30 days, all, it is STILL taking 40-70 seconds to load the information.
A COUPLE of times it has loaded as one would expect (in about 5 seconds) but that has only happened twice over the weekend.
I feel this may (may not) be a server side issue.
Oh, it's the same whether I am on WiFi or 4G (and I have tried on a couple of different WiFi networks, which have fast connections).
HOPEFULLY you may be able to find a department who can help, as 191 haven't got a clue what to do 😞
