Vodafone connect router DHCP settings

I have posted this into off topic as I can not see any reference to Vodafone Home phone and Broadband.

I have install the router and all is working but there one thing that is missing from the setting of the VDSL router that being a function to turn off DHCP, I have for the pasted 10 year had my own network running at home with a fully working server that is my DHCP & DNS server but for the first time in history I have just sign up for 18 month and got a bloody router that has no function in the GUI settings pages to turn OFF the DHCP server. So for now I will have to wait for 18 months before I can change ISP. thanks vodafone tech team for missing this one. If there is anyone out there that can offer me a firmware update to give me the function to turn OFF DHCP then please post it.

My principle software is plex but there is also vuze and good old windows media server on the pc. All of which used to show up as options on my smart telly.

The issue is apparently if everything is running over LAN. I haven't tried it on the xbox yet. According to the notice the new software was meant to fix this.

Oppppps I ment to Say back to BT

Well having had a quick play it turns out that my xbox one can see the plex server but the smart tv can't. I think it is because the TV just sees it as a generic media library rather than actually being able to use the plex app. I managed to fix all the issues by using an almond+ as an access point and turning pretty much everything off on the voda router. Unfortunately, the almod+ is currently having issues all of its own and keeps thinking that it has lost the network (even when it hasn't) which then takes everything else down with it until it's disconnected from the voda router. I'm going to try it as a wireless access point next and see if it's more stable that way as the voda router seems to have issues with running things over ethernet cables?

I don't have any media server running. But I have connected my fire tv and ps3 via LAN and they work no problem. Also powerline adapter didn't work initially but has started working now.
The issues I have at the moment is Spotify connect has poor connectivity, sometimes it is seen and sometimes it isn't.
Also fire tv app needs multicast support, unsure if the router has it is not, I've tried to check in the settings. It disconnects intermittently.
Overall I'm happy now
