Broadband meant to be activated 3rd Oct but now saying it wont be until the week after, Predictably poor service from Vodafone, hiding behind Open Reach. I've been with Vodafone for years but I suppose it was follish to risk going with them for Broadband, despite competitive package

@guygrantham It could be OR with the delay. Have a look here, https://one.network/uk , zoom in to your location and telecoms work has a phone shaped icon. Click on the icon and in the details you can see the time and date that the work is expected to complete.

Same issue here. Order activated, survey done (3 times) and Vodaphone unilaterally cancel the order. They never say why... but the real reason us that they don't want to pay for the infrastructure costs of getting it from the road to the house (800 metres - needs a pole)
Their customer service is absolutely appalling too.

@Paulnobroadband Which VF broadband product did you order? Are any neighbours on broadband and if so how close are they to you?

Yes, our neighbours in adjacent property have broadband with BT.

@Paulnobroadband Hmmm. So either there's a question of crossing someone else's property or the distance to your neighbour is too far to span the gap with an overhead line, but that would seem odd if you have an existing BT/OpenReach copper phone line to your property. The only other thing that springs to mind is that OpenReach want to go underground.

We have an existing copper wire connection, and can trace it to the pole at the roadside. Our neighbours fibre is in a conduit within his property.
BT openreach conducted a survey and suggested that a pole be erected within our property, which is no problem for us. But, we understand they want Vodafone to pick up the installation cost. Vodafone won't do that, so they unilaterally cancel the contract (Without explanation)
