I shouldnt have joined vodafone to get full fibre. The DLS was fine. Since we have been on full fibre we get constant drop outs over the 2 weeks we've had it. Always the same... At 6pm speeds slow from 900mbs drop to 0.2mbs. Then it disconnects.
Tonight now we can't connect. Red internet light. The black box has all lights on though. No connection and no IPv4 address. Tried factory reset.
25x more stable... What a lie. I want to cancel this contract and go back to DSL.
I was the first to get it I my block of flats. City fibre just put all the wires in to all the blocks and I've messaged everyone in our owners group, all 132 of them to avoid moving to full fibre with Vodafone.

Xperts dealt with the issue in the morning. A credit to the lady who dealt with it - my router had decided to just forget everything.
The Xpert also explained there was an issue with the AB24 area and City Fibre were to install a new cable due to bottlenecking in the area on the 16th/17th November.
I'm a little bemused why Vodafone haven't contacted customers that will be affected considering there is a planned maintenance and downtime of around 9 hours.
These things, if planned should be viewable.

Hi,
I am having the same issue in the AB24 area with broadband dropping from ~500Mb/s to less than 10Mb/s every night. Can you advise what you did to resolve the issue?
Thanks

I have actually cancelled my contract with them now when I realised they are throttling us.
How i found that out was by downloading Nord VPN and connecting via Manchester. So vodaphone thinks I was in Manchester.
Suddenly speeds jumped to 200-500 again. So they are artificially throttling Aberdeen for some reason. Likely because too many people signed up and they have exclusivity of city fibre here.
It's a fix that shouldn't have to happen... But I think it shows Vodafone's true colours. They claim not to throttle, but evidently they do.

Ah ok, thanks for the information. I'm just glad I'm not the only one experiencing issues. I contacted Vodafone online chat but no real help yet, I am waiting to be contacted by the Broadband team.
Hopefully the additional works by CityFibre in November will alleviate the issue...

I'm in Aberdeen and I've been experiencing these issues for the past month or so too, and it's getting more severe over time. 900Mbps goes down to about 2.5Mbps during peak times making online gaming impossible without huge lag spikes. I'm seeing about 25% packet loss at peak times which is unacceptable (both my mum and grandparents' slower broadband connections are showing 0% packet loss at the same times).
It's getting to the point where I'm considering switching for a slower but more reliable connection if Vodafone aren't going to explain what's actually happening. I've talked to one of their store managers who wasn't particularly helpful (he just wanted me to commit to another contract, no chance!) and their call center is apparently going to phone me back within 72 hours (the last time they promised to phone back, they didn't).

Cancelled my contract today in the 14 day period - will need to go back to BT and a week without any internet, but I will use my phone as a hotspot.
The fact that I and others like me are choosing the old FTTC ways over this super duper 25x more stable and faster connection suggests that it isn't all it's cracked up to be....

Aaaand right on cue....
Afternoon has arrived - speeds dropped from 600mpbs+ to..... 12mbps.....and continue to drop...
VPN activated - right back up at 500.
Think I might raise this with the local city paper actually. They might be interested in it.

If there is anything that might get Vodafone to take notice, it will be adverse publicity.
