My Internet switched off yesterday am, computer can still see the modem & my usuall connection is listed, when I try to connect there is 'no internet'. I am wondering if using the modem reset button is a good idea ?
When I use the network status checker it tells me there are outages in my area, checked many time over the last 24 hours plus.
I am starting a new contract and hope the switching is not the problem I was with with Vodafone but out of contract, I have started a new contract, paperwork is switching.

Thanks Steph, I am on the phone to help just now, seem a broken cable will soon be replaces in the box and perhaps in 3 or 4 hours I will be back on. that will be 28 hours - seems a long time to me.

Thanks for popping back to me @MickJ I am sorry for the inconvenience caused by the damaged cable but it is good to hear that the engineers are working on replacing it as we speak!

Hi Mick,
My broadband also went down over 24 hrs ago and i get the same response from Vodafone. Not convinced anyone is 'working' on this issue. Just wondered if we may be in the same area. I'm just outside Oxford.
Shame there is no number to call, just online help that ask the same questions.
Thanks
Paul

Lovely day apart from internet problems. Fingers crossed.

I'm a bit further out, Farmoor. Seems unlikely that we would both be affected by the same 'outage'. Not seeing any other complaints of similar service issues, so suspect there may not be a fibre break...
