On my Vodafone router can I change WPA configuration from WPA 2 to WPA 3 (or at least to WPA 2(AES)) as my iphone tells me my WPA2 is weak security? Thanks

If you are using the Vodafone router the answer is no.

You're not the only person to be confused by this iPhone message, I think Apple are just trying to scare people.

Thanks Jayach - I think you are right as my  Norton anti-virus on both phone and laptop has not suggested any issue

Further reading suggests that AES is the preferred encryption in WPA2 and TKIP an alternative so if the iPhone says you are using WPA2-TKIP it may be something in the setup of the phone.

Still I'm no expert. Which Vodafone router do you have?

Huawei about 3years old

I've got the later router the THG3000. The only choices for protection mode are WPA2 or WPA + WPA2. Obviously you would only use WPA + WPA2 if you had some older devices unable to use WPA2.

You should be able to see what your router offers if you log into it and check under Wi-Fi settings.
