Broadband Phone Line

I had a new fibre to property line installed and broadband connected. All appears to be fine with that. I can not get the landline to work, though. I have a solid white light indicating that the line is live. If I call my number from my mobile, the white light flashes to show its ringing or in use. Unfortunately, the phone screen says no line, and although the light flashes when I phone it, the handset doesn't ring. There doesn't appear to be a live line on the handset, although it is live into the router. The phone handset has a normal phone socket, which obviously won't fit in the router socket, so I removed the old cable and replaced it with the Internet cable as suggested in the set up.imstructions. phone still doesn't work. Any ideas, or am I doing something wrong. Had no landline for a week now. Help !!

Sometimes the phones use a different pair of wires to that in the internet cable. Look to see if the pair used in the cable are the same as those on the phone.

I thought Vodafone were now supplying an adapter to those on digital voice, did you not get one?

Other posts have said Vodafone have agreed to send one, so try live chat. https://www.vodafone.co.uk/bbservcd/ or get one from Amazon.
