Hi All,

Hoping  someone will be able to help,

I can call DWP service centre on: 0800 121 4600 - Once I select the options required, the call then gets cut off/drops out. I’ve tried several times on different days, and it won’t connect, I can’t sit in a queue on hold, it just kicks me off.

I’ve used my partners O2 phone with no issues, currently on hold as we speak, so it’s not a DWP issue.

When I spoke to Vodafone they said it was a premium number, which I don’t have enabled on my device. It’s a free phone number, doesn’t explain how I’m able to connect initially but go no further.

Anyone have experience or know how to resolve this issue?

Thanks, MD

Hi @Mrsabcd Thanks for raising this with us. The number 0800 121 4600 is a free number to call and wouldn't incur premium rate charges, apologies you've been advised differently. You can verify via our charge checker here.

Does this happen with any other numbers you call? Please try a device restart, turning it on and off to see if the issue still occurs. Should issues persist please message our Social Media Team via the information found here
