just got a pay as you go sim and requested the PAC code from my old supplier
the number of the phone changed today, but my account still wants to send security codes to my old number. so i cant access 'my vodafone' account on the phone or the website
i tried resetting the my vodafone app, and when i click copntinue at the beginning it says
'the my vodafone app doesnt currently support the plan connecteds with your devices sim card'
if i try and create a brand new account, it doesnt recognise the new/changed number and does nothing at all
please help.

When you tried to set up a new Vodafone Account using the new number did you also use a new email address and password ?
If so try again on Monday and if it still does not set up then as only customer services on 191 , Live Chat or the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Facebook Messenger or Twitter DM have account access I'd suggest to contact them @crumbles
Account access isn't available via the Vodafone Community Forum.

when i tried to setup the new account it wont even go past the enter phone number part.
it just does nothing on the website when i enter it. it doesnt proceed to the next part ofg entering email addresses etc no error messages. no nothing.
tried on safari, firefox and chrome. no blockers on any of them.
like i said if i try to do it on the phone itself using the app, it says the app doesnt support the sim or some such error

Yes @crumbles , you won't be able to set up a new online account, the current online account details will change and show the correct number, this may happen this afternoon or being a weekend the latest Monday afternoon.
Give the account time to update @crumbles clear your cookies before trying again.

ok i will wait until monday and hope it fixes itself

does report the correct number.
android about phone says the number is unknown.

You shouldn't have anything to be concerned about, you may well find the account updates this afternoon.

As far as your number is concerned, make sure the ported number is showing on your Google account. Also, try rebooting this phone.

how do i check the number on my google account?
also, i can send text messages to myself, but when i try to call myself from a landline a womans voice says the number is unobtainable
but i can call my landline from the mobile and it works and the correct number appears on my caller display.
its very bizarre

From what you have written @crumbles , it sounds like the port was not completed by the end of the working day yesterday, porting does not happen over a weekend. Vodafone would have sent a text to let you know the port was completed.
If this is what has happened and you have a split port, the number may be fully ported on Monday.
Drop the Social Team a message from the link above, they will be able to check the account for you with the Porting Team, make sure everything is correct and address any other questions you have.

i rebooted first, and im only using mobile data.
i found the google accountin settings/mobile data and messaging/device phone number/
it says there is no phone number available.
