Have you activated your sim card ?

Have you tried to top up ?
I assume your phone accepts a Vodafone sim card ?
Perform a soft reboot by turning the phone Off and On and or choose another network in the phones network settings and then re choose Vodafone.
Does Vodafone show in the phones status bar at all ?
