@ilyaf I'm really sorry to hear you've lost your phone and haven't been successful in getting this barred. I understand how frustrating this situation must be, especially as you've been unable to complete your insurance claim. So I'm able to take a closer look into this for you and help get things sorted, I've sent you a private message with details on how to get in touch with us.

Also having the same problem, lost my phone more than a month ago, bought from Carphone Warehouse and being sent on a wild goose chase to block the IMEI.

hi

i really need your help asap, i have lost my phone and sim whilst abroad, for me to get a new phone i need my old imei to be blacklisted i have contacted Vodafone on various occasions and they keep saying they cannot do so when i have been with Vodafone for over 1 year. i am stuck as my insurance company are waiting for the blacklisting documents which Vodafone claim they cannot do but they can, please can you help me asap as it has been nearly one month without my phone and me chasing Vodafone on numerous occasions and getting no where when they can help.

i am running out of options as the insurance company is only waiting for the document from Vodafone to say they have blacklisted my imei. this is a big inconvenience for me, i will not be recommending Vodafone to anyone

Hi, can you help me also please?

I need to blacklist a mobile I used with Vodafone, but purchased from Apple.
No luck with agents over the phone!!

It doesn't matter where you purchase a handset from, the last network it was used on is responsible for blacklisting the handset in the event of theft etc.

Example: Purchase a used five year old phone from eBay and use that phone with an EE paygo sim. If someone comes up to you at knifepoint and takes it, EE must blacklist the handset and block the sim card too. Regardless if you have insurance!

It's shocking that Vodafone have such restrictions in place! Such restrictions are usually there to help with unlocking requests not for blacklisting.

@Gobs1234 We can definitely get this blacklisted for you, I'm not sure why any of our advisors would tell you otherwise! Please can you pop us your details over to our team, on one of the following channels of contact mentioned HERE?
