My contract is due to end in a few days. I’m not using anywhere near what I’m paying for. Will Vodaphone let me downgrade?

Ring 191 and choose the thinking of leaving option to get through to the Retentions Department @MinkieMoo2021 and they'll go through your options in regards to your allowances and tariff costs.
They'll go through the new evo plans which does involve a new credit check.
One of those may suffice.
If your phone is OK to keep using then consider one of the various terms of a sim only contract, or even consider payg.
Or look at options via Carphone Warehouse where you can upgrade with them or take out a new contract and then can arrange to transfer your mobile number to the new contract if you want to retain your number.
