Changing my number from PAYG to contract

I am currently on Tesco and i want to change from them to Vodafone. I have a PAC code for my current number, but according to the feller on the phone he said i need to tell Vodafone the number i'm changing over is from PAYG if i am going to a contract sim? Is that true? And the sim i want to get is from mobiles.co.uk. I thought as long as you had the PAC code it didn't matter? Thanks.

All we need to know is your PAC code and the number you want to bring over. We don't need any more information, just give us a call on 191 or 0333 304 0191 from a non Vodafone number.
