I upgraded on the 21/11/22 and was told my new handset was out of stock. I got updates up until the 2/12/22. Then after that I heard nothing so keep checking on the order tracker which just kept saying order confirmed. So I got in contact on 5/1/23 and was told my order had been picked and was awaiting collection and would be dispatched within 72hrs after that time elapsed I got back I contact and was told my order was open and a close order form would be filled in on my behalf and then my phone should be with me in 1 or 2 days. Still I’m waiting and this 7 weeks after my original order was placed. Some help resolving this would be much appreciated.

It's certainly not unreasonable to expect the phone of choice to be sent ASAP @Kjem91
Unfortunately there is no account access via the Vodafone Forum.
Please do persevere with customer services on 191 or Live Chat.
Also the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Facebook Messenger or Twitter DM maybe able to intercede to help. Link back to your thread here including your username so your not having to repeat yourself.

You shouldn't be waiting this long @Kjem91 check your online account and Application, if you are being charged for the new phone and airtime contract it will show there.
You don't mention the phone you ordered, take a look at this link Pay Monthly Phones to make sure Vodafone are still stocking the device you purchased for your upgrade.
Apart from this you will need the help from Customer Services or the Social Team.
