Number Spoofing

I’m getting calls from people saying they’ve had a missed call from me, but I haven’t called them.

internet search shows that someone has copied my number and is using it to make nuisance calls 

Vodafone aren’t interested or don’t understand what I’m talking about 

Anyone got any advice please

Hi, I'm having the same problem and have been getting abuse in texts over it.  I can't get through to Vodafone customer service.   Its getting annoying !

There's very little the network can do, I'm afraid.   They will try to block known spam formats and sources, but random numbers are almost impossible to intercept.  However, if you're receiving abuse, it's more likely to be personal than random.   If you drop a note to the Social Media team on Facebook or Twitter, they may be able to advise, although blocking the number may be the best route.

As @hrym explained, there is very little we can do I'm afraid - but maybe a number change could stop this happening if your current number seems to be too problematic? We'd also be happy to escalate the details over to our Fraud team so they hopefully get some insight into what's happening.
