Recently got email from Vodafone saying I need to upgrade my phone as the 3G network is shutting down. I currently have a Samsung S10 phone which was directly purchased from Samsung a few years ago. Is there any reason why I don't get the LTE 4G option on Mobile networks. I understand this may be due to the Sim issued by Vodafone. Do not want to purchase a new phone from Vodafone as the charges are extortionate.

Hi @Nas100
The Samsung Galaxy s¹⁰ certainly has 4G available in it's functions
https://m.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s10 so you will be fine.
Check on the phone's connection settings to ensure 4G / Lte has been ticked too.
If a new sim is needed for any reason then Vodafone can perform a sim swap in a Vodafone Highstreet Store.
Take some photo ID.
Customer Support on 191 or Live Chat can check your account to ensure 4G is activated on your account.

You can do a SIM swap online here SIM swap
As far as your phone is concerned, if you refer to device guides, this will explain how to make sure the connection is set to 4G. Device Guides

On my device I don't have the following option available. Is this due to the sim. I only have 3G/2G, 3G and 2G

The setting is correct @Nas100 you have 4G 3G and 2G auto connect.
The 2G network is not being switched off, if 4G is not available you will still be able to use the 2G network.

No I am saying that my phone is currently connected to LTE/3G/2G (auto connect). The 4G/3G/2G auto connect option is not available.
