Just curious as to when, if ever, Vodafone will enable support to send/receive SMS over WiFi.
I would like to have the option to use phone in airplane mode with WiFi calling on without fear of missing text messages.
EE are the only network to offer this currently?

Thanks @Jeffkinn for the info. I just checked and it looks like Vodafone finally enabled SMS over Wifi calling in December 2020.

As for Vodafone, you didn't advise people in this thread about this as you said you would. No surprise there then.

Just received the one ui 3.0 (android 11) update on my galaxy s10e and lo and behold I can now send and receive sms over WiFi calling. Don’t think my wife’s s9 will be getting this update mores the pity

Can confirm they have activated in the background at time unknown for me. I'm still on Android 10 with a p30 lite and it just works when I put airplane mode on now. Nice!

Why on earth would anyone expect £9bn tax dodgers to behave with honour? In having a great time with Three. WiFi calling with sms and all you can eat data. V have cheated me out of money by reneging on a "free deal" that I ended up paying £1600 for. Their left hands don't know where their right feet are. That's fair enough but worse is they don't give a hoot. Mass exodus is the best answer. And don't let their retentions sweet talkers convince you to stay.

Good. But too late. I moved to three. Should have been EE but long story.
I got fed up of Vodafone killing my Suredignals

So they are only going to support the newer iphones 6s and later if we want to get the sms messages needed for the online world verification of today. The SureSignal works fine with sms on any old phone I have tried.
So looks like I will need a new iphone - well it won't be from Vodafone if this is how they treat their existing customers but turning off a service that they don't have a replacement for WITHOUT INCURRING A LOT OF EXPENSE FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS.
