Why have I just had an email stating you will be taking £203 out of my account on the 31st dec

The first place to look will be your online account and phone My Vodafone Application, this will provide your billing information. Vodafone are required to give 2 weeks notice before taking money from an account by direct debit, if this has not been done and the money is taken incorrectly you are quite entitled to invoke the direct debit guarantee with the bank with this being the banks own guarantee they are obliged to honour the request.

@Bfaz27 it's the way scammers access peoples information by first alarming them with emails like thi, and include a link or similar in the body of the email inviting a person to click on it.
Possibly not the case but worth mentioning..

As we are fellow customers without any accounts access understandably I would suggest to call 191 or use Live Chat as this is the fastest way to get an agent looking at this for you especially as the date is very close to the money coming out.
They'll advise if the email is an official one and don't at this time click any links within the email body.
