Mi 9 Miui 11 upgrade Sim problem

Rednose66

Hi. After waiting for a Miui upgrade for over a year Vodafone has rolled one out today. I've done the upgrade and I am unable to enable my SIM card and hence unable to make calls. Any ideas? TIA

Hi everyone, thanks so much for flagging and rest assured this is something we've been working on with the manufacturer to get you all connected to what you love again.

To keep you all updated, Xiaomi have advised that a patch is going through final testing through their side and we're looking to verify this from our side today.

All going well, this patch should be with you over the next few days, by next week at the very latest.

Please don't try any troubleshooting steps such as a factory reset or arranging a repair of the phone as once the software is out, this will resolve things for you.

Once we have confirmation that the fix is working and when it can be released, we'll let you know ASAP here.

hi. Yeah got it in slot one. Proper baffled by it all. Cheers for the suggestion

I've just updayed to 11.0.6.0 and it is NOT working. The system kept saying it was sending activation texts, it then flashed up an error saying it was sending too many texts and locked itself. Now the 'no sim card' icon is back in the top right hand corner.

Oh and still no support from Vodafone.

That's shocking....11 days without a phone network. Shame on you Vodafone

It's great to see the update we released has helped so many of you reconnect! If you're still unable to connect after downloading software version 11.0.6.0, pop us a message here or via Facebook or Twitter and we'll be happy to take a closer look and help get you reconnected 😊

Been on phone nearly two hours this evening still not connected. Been told to phone Xiaomi customer service. Ridiculous

Hi Mark I see you're the moderator for this thread as the majority of the guys girls haven't see you post also this isn't a dig at you but it's like a ostrich in the sand now your showing your neck it's over 11 day's since this ##~## show of an updated came to town and still not one person from either Vodafone or Xiaomi has had the balls to acknowledge the fact that they ##~## up big time with current update I personally factory reset at least 4 to 5 times hoping that it would work fortunately its has work for me but those customers that it's not work for I feel sad for all of them especially in this current climate so many rely on phones for family or even clients this phone brand and your network have potentially lost a lot of customers I wish all of the Xiaomi Mi9 miui 11 update gang well and stay safe

Good to see Vodafone have reacted by crediting  us all 10 days service. I originally dealt with this by going down the 'phone broken/under warranty/send replacement' route rather than becoming embroiled in the update saga and had a replacement phone within 24hrs which was excellent service. New one works just fine on 10 and I will not be updating to 11 anytime soon - why would I want to? I'll wait till all the Vodafone High St shops reopen and get them to do the update in case of failure.

Hopefully you've all  had the email from Vodafone that finally puts this sorry story to bed.

Not received an email. Can I ask what it's about? Just ten days back on the non service?  Cheers

How did they credit 10 days service I have had nothing? In fact I'm worse off as I have been charged overseas rate for a UK call ,as apparently my phone throught it was in Spain on voxi network
