I cannot access the Vodafone app or the Vodafone chat support because both say my number is invalid. I don't understand how this is possible? Is there any way around this to receive customer support?

This is going to need account access @Grace_Zelazny Drop the Social Team a message through social channels here Contact Us and they will help where they can.
To give the Team something to go on @Grace_Zelazny it would be helpful if you mentioned if you are on PAYG or pay monthly.
